Survey

The surveys being run by SA & NT DTSC are part of the Dementia Training Needs Analysis project 2010.

The aim of this study is to identify the skills, attributes and knowledge sets required by health professionals to deliver care and services to enhance the quality of life of people with dementia and their carers.

The resulting skills, attributes and knowledge sets identified from this study will be used to develop learning/teaching resources to be used in the training of health professionals so that they may deliver care and services to enhance the quality of life of people with dementia and their carers.

The Dementia Needs Analysis Project will consist of 5 parts:

Part A: Residential Care Dementia Training Needs Survey – an online survey of aged care service providers. To find out more about this survey click here.

Part B: Dementia Needs Analysis Focus Groups – focus groups with people with Dementia and Carer groups.

Part C: Acute Care Dementia Training Needs Survey – an online survey of people who work in the Acute Care setting. To find out more about this survey click here.

Part D: Student Health Professionals Dementia Training Needs Survey - an online survey of people who are studying to become health professionals.

Part E: GP Dementia Training Needs Survey - a short questionnaire for General Practitioners
